Sept 24 - Sept 30

Hanging with Cocky.

French Maille mustard from the Mahles.

Finally cold enough to break out the boots! Though I clearly need to drop them at the shoe guy for some TLC.

Thai pork and veggies.

Morning on Pier A.

Mom & Dad came for the weekend! We walked over to the piers to take in the view.

Top of the Rock!

Sept 18 - Sept 23

A sandwich worthy of Grilled Cheese Social: brie and honey mustard!

Want to live in a church? This one over on River Street is for rent.

The NJ Transit bus hub in Hoboken re-painted their lane numbers. LOVE this 2! I'm impressed with their typography choice.

Two ladies hanging out of their windows, keeping an eye on things.

Yay! Kickball!

Boo! Pulled quad muscle!

Sept 17

We went to Boston to catch a Red Sox game and visit our friends Brett & Jenny. This panorama is huge so please click through to see it in its full glory.

Of course they lost miserably. It was September, after all.

Sept 11 - Sept 16

A bit of architectural detail around town.

This photo is completely un-retouched. The moon was HUGE.

A hair experiment. Roll you hair in socks the night before, sleep on it, and get some curls in the morning. It was weird but kind of worked. You can look this up on youtube if you need real instructions.

First kickball game of the fall season! We Blue Ourselves in our new uniforms and new name, We Creamed Ourselves.

Spinach and spring greens, mandarin oranges, strawberries and pomegranate seeds. And! Homemade orange ale vinaigrette. Yum.

My favorite bathroom in all of Hoboken: The Taco Truck! (The brick and mortar store, not the actual truck)

Sept 06 - Sept 10

New shower storage. It doesn't seem that big of a deal, but when you have a clawfoot tub, your options are limited.

Plaque on the building up the street. It's now a dorm for Stevens' students.

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com, came to our office. That meant everyone had to get dressed up. And what did Jeff end up wearing? A polo and jeans. Yep. Oh well, I like breaking out the heels every once in a while.

Dave's in NYC!! I am very excite.

Trying to take a self-portrait of my gussied-up self (another work dinner) and SOMEBODY felt left out.

Sept 01 - Sept 05

New Audible.com sign going up!

Painting the window trim before installing the new blinds. As you can see, it badly needed a fresh coat!

Catching the first USC football game at Grandpop's house.

Grandpop's button wall in his workshop!

New blinds and freshly painted trim!

August 26 - August 31

Colin's new friend that we found on the sidewalk.

Hurricane Irene was headed our way, so we brought the plants inside to weather the storm.

Irene aftermath: no damage for us but still pretty windy!

A tree victim from Irene, four blocks south of us on our street.

 Late season flowers!

At Mama Fink's suggestion, we re-arranged the bedroom. Not sure how we feel about it yet but we'll stick with it for now.

August 21 - August 25

This is an un-edited photo. The sky was the weirdest tinge of yellow at about seven o'clock in the evening.

Smoothies!

EARTHQUAKE! I was all the way up there on the fifteenth floor.

Biergarten again! Caitlin and I left the boys and went to see One Day (which was terrible). At least the beers were good.

This Hamburger Helper puppet gets passed from desk to desk at work. Nobody remembers where it came from. Since Ashley was on vacation this week, we stuck him on her desk to greet her upon her return.

August 16 - August 20

I joined a gym. Or should I say, "gym." It's a KokoFit Club, and the premise is basically a quick and convenient workout for people who don't really know what to do at the gym. You get a thumbdrive that you plug into an all-in-one workout machine (like a Bowflex) and it tells you what exercises to do, at what weight, how many reps, and how fast to go. I like it because you get points and it's like a video game. Now if only I can make myself go every day.

One of my favorite houses in Hoboken, down at 5th & Grand streets. It's clearly an old fire station and I always wonder if they still have the pole inside.

Poor little retarded tomato: grew straight into a branch.

Gotta love Friday happy hours at work.

Fancy boss dinner! Every year we go out to a nice restaurant with Colin's boss and his boss's wife. I call this dress my  Betty Draper Dress. It's super flattering and it even has pockets!

August 8 - August 15

Colin's tomato plant is actually making tomatoes!

The Hoboken Biergarten FINALLY OPENED! We went on the very first night and loved it.

More free books form work. And this one was an advance copy! The Night Circus was really fascinating and ten bucks says they'll make it a movie by 2013.

Storm clouds rollin' in.

Weekend at Grandpop's house! Colin worked on perfecting his backflip.

Side trip to Philly to visit Logan and Andy!

After leaving Rudy for a long weekend, Colin likes to greet him by singing the opening song from The Lion King.

Asian pork chops with garlic edamame and jasmine rice. It's like a real dinner!
